Goodman gas furnace code EEF: Auxiliary (condensate) switch open
Gas furnace, Canada and United States
The auxiliary condensate switch is open because the water level in the evaporator coil drain pan or auxiliary drain pan is high.
This needs an HVAC technician. There is nothing safe to check yourself. Leave the covers on and book a professional.
Water may be leaking. Turn off the water supply to the unit if you see a leak.
Only some models show this code. Check the list below.
What causes it
-
High water in the evaporator coil drain pan or auxiliary drain pan. A technician checks the pans, trap and piping.
How to read this code on your unit
The code shows on the three-character display on the furnace control board, which you can see through the sight glass on the blower compartment. IdL means the furnace is idle and normal. A blank display means the board has no power or has failed.
